ZRP RODS – CONNECTING RODS SET BMW M5 / M6 S38B36 HD SERIES

The Mazda 2.0L MX5 H-Beam connecting rods are made from high-strength 4340 steel and are designed for high performance and extreme durability. The bushings are made from an aluminum-silicon/bronze material and have a radial groove that serves as an oil reservoir. These connecting rods feature a ribbed pin end, which minimizes pin end distortion under heavy inertial loads while saving excess weight. They are shot peened to relieve stress from the material and multi-stage heat treated to increase rigidity. Tight manufacturing tolerances ensure a perfect fit while optimizing oil clearances. Bend and twist are tightly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, with optional ARP L19 material rated at 260,000 psi available as an upgrade, and the entire kit comes with ARP moly and complete installation instructions.
