ZRP RODS – CONNECTING ROD SET AUDI 1.8L 20V TURBO / 2.0L TSI EA113 HD SERIES

The I-Beam “Heavy Duty” series connecting rods for Audi / VW 1.8L Turbo 20v are intended for high HP/boost applications. Manufactured from the finest raw materials, 4340 high-strength steel with a specially optimized shape for high performance and extreme durability. They are “Rifle Drilled” like OEM to improve oiling on the pin end. They also feature “straight cut” pin ends for increased durability, so they can only be used in conjunction with aftermarket pistons. The bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material for excellent wear and fatigue resistance and have a radial groove that serves as an oil reservoir. They are shot peened to relieve stress from the material and multi-stage heat treated to increase rigidity. Close tolerances in the manufacturing process ensure a perfect fit while optimizing oil clearances. Bending and twisting are strictly controlled. Each rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, with optional ARP L19 material rated at 260,000 psi available as an upgrade. The entire kit comes with ARP moly and complete assembly instructions.
