ZRP RODS – SET CONNECTING RODS CITROEN / PEUGEOT 1.6L 16V TU5J4 / TU5JP4 HD SERIES

The Mercedes Smart 600cc / 700cc H-Beam connecting rods are made from high-strength 4340 steel and are designed for high performance and extreme durability. The bushings are made from aluminum-silicon/bronze and have a radial groove that serves as an oil reservoir. These connecting rods feature a ribbed pin end that minimizes pin end distortion under heavy inertial loads, while also saving excess weight. They are shot peened to relieve material stress and multi-stage heat treated to increase rigidity. Tight manufacturing tolerances ensure a perfect fit while optimizing oil clearances. Bend and twist are tightly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi. Optional ARP Custom Age 625 280,000 psi material is available as an upgrade. The entire kit comes with ARP moly and complete assembly instructions.
