ZRP RODS – CONNECTING ROD SET VW/AUDI 1.8L 20V TURBO I-BEAM

The Audi/VW 1.8L Turbo 20v (180PS) I-Beam connecting rods are machined from high-strength 4340 steel and designed for high performance, extreme durability, and extra rigidity. These rods feature a tapered pin end, making them compatible with OEM pistons. The bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material for excellent wear and fatigue resistance and feature a radial oil reservoir groove. They are shot peened to relieve stress from the material and multi-stage heat treated to increase rigidity. Tight manufacturing tolerances ensure a perfect fit while optimizing oil clearances. Bending and torsion are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 plug fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, with optional ARP L19 material rated at 260,000 psi available as an upgrade, and the entire kit comes with ARP moly and complete installation instructions.
