ZRP RODS – CONNECTING ROD SET FORD 2.3L ECOBOOST HD SERIES

The I-Beam Series “Heavy Duty” connecting rods for the Ford 2.3L EcoBoost are intended for high-horsepower/boost applications. Made from the finest raw materials, 4340 high-strength steel, with a specially optimized shape for high performance and extreme durability. They feature “straight-cut” pin ends for increased durability, so they can only be used in conjunction with aftermarket pistons. The bushings are made of AMPCO 18 material for excellent wear and fatigue resistance and have a radial groove that serves as an oil reservoir. They are shot peened to relieve material stress and multi-stage heat treated to increase rigidity. Tight manufacturing tolerances ensure a perfect fit while optimizing oil clearances. Bending and torsion are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 plug fasteners rated at 220,000 psi. Optional ARP L19 material rated at 260,000 psi is available as an upgrade. The entire kit is supplied with ARP moly and complete installation instructions.
