ZRP RODS – CONNECTING ROD SET VW 3.2L R32 / 3.6L R36 / VR6 2.8L AND 2.9L HD SERIES

The Audi/VW 1.8L Turbo 20v H-Beam connecting rods are machined from 4340 high-strength steel and are designed for high performance and extreme durability. They feature “straight cut” pin ends for increased durability, so they can only be used in conjunction with aftermarket pistons. The pin end is also “ribbed” to minimize distortion under heavy inertial loads while saving any excess weight. The bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material for excellent wear and fatigue resistance and have a radial groove that serves as an oil reservoir. They are shot peened to relieve stress from the material and multi-stage heat treated to increase rigidity. Tight manufacturing tolerances ensure a perfect fit while optimizing oil clearances. Bending and torsion are strictly controlled. Each rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, optional ARP L19 material rated at 260,000 psi is available as an upgrade, and the entire kit comes with ARP moly and complete installation instructions.
