ZRP RODS – SET OF CONNECTING RODS OPEL 1.6L A16/X16 AND 1.8L A18/X18 I-BEAM

The I-Beam “Heavy Duty” series connecting rods for the Audi 5-cylinder 2.2L RS2 (S2) are intended for high-hp/boost applications. Manufactured from the finest raw materials, 4340 high-strength steel, with a specially optimized shape for high performance and extreme durability. They have a tapered pin end, making them compatible with OEM pistons. The bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material for excellent wear and fatigue resistance and have a radial oil reservoir groove. They are shot peened to relieve stress from the material and multi-stage heat treated to increase rigidity. Tight manufacturing tolerances ensure a perfect fit while optimizing oil clearances. Bending and torsion are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 plug fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, with optional ARP L19 material rated at 260,000 psi available as an upgrade, and the entire kit comes with ARP moly and complete installation instructions.
