Wagner Tuning high-performance intercooler kit for BMW M2 Competition F87, M3 F80, M4 F82/F83, with 3.0L S55B30 turbo engine.
The 3.0-liter S55B30 turbo engine in the BMW M2 Competition, M3, and M4 is equipped with an indirect intercooler circuit. Charge air cooling is therefore implemented by a water-cooled intercooler, which is replaced by the Wagner Tuning high-performance intercooler.
The WAGNER TUNING high-performance intercooler features a new type of competition mesh (tubular fin) measuring 287 mm x 185 mm x 115 mm. This was specially developed for the high demands of the S55 engine and offers 114% more external mesh volume than the original intercooler. The ratio of internal to external cooling surface area used maximizes heat transfer while simultaneously allowing for the best possible internal airflow. The die-cast aluminum end boxes were designed using CAD and optimized using CFD simulations. The result is excellent cooling properties with the lowest possible back pressure. This kit is therefore also suitable for racing. Optimal cooling of the charged air with a significant increase in performance!
