The high-performance intercooler has the following mesh dimensions (610 mm x 440 mm x 65 mm = 17.446 l) and therefore offers a 178% larger flow surface and a 158% larger charge air volume than the original intercooler. The high-performance competition mesh is a high-quality tubular fin mesh with internal turbulators. As a result, the intercooler weighs just 9.1 kg, despite its size.
The die-cast aluminum end boxes were created in CAD and optimized for the best possible internal airflow using CFD simulations. An integrated air duct in the end box allows for homogeneous filling of the high-performance competition mesh. The connection diameter has been increased to Ø67 mm, so this kit comes with reinforced silicone hoses. Overall, this intercooler has much lower backpressure than a standard intercooler.
Furthermore, all our intercoolers feature an anti-corrosion coating with excellent thermal conductivity. This ensures permanent, optimal cooling with a significant increase in performance. The kit is completely ready for installation; simply replace it with the standard intercooler.
