The 2.9-liter V6 biturbo engine of the Audi RS4 / RS5 features an indirect intercooler circuit. This means that the charge air is not cooled (as usual) by ambient air, but by a separate cooling water circuit. Consequently, a reduction in the cooling water temperature must also be directly equated with an improvement in charge air cooling performance. This is precisely where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING Upgrade water cooler come into play.
The new racing network of the WAGNERTUNING high-performance water cooler increases the cooler volume of the standard water cooler by a total of 55%. The ratio of internal to external cooling surface area used generates maximum heat transfer while simultaneously allowing adjacent components (e.g., radiators) to be cooled. Additionally, the water coolers feature a thermally conductive anti-corrosion coating to ensure a permanent cooling effect. Installation of the system is also simple and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.
