The WAGNERTUNING high-performance intercooler features a new competition mesh (tubular fin) measuring 670 mm x 183.4 mm x 125 mm (15.4 liters), developed specifically for the Honda Civic Type R FK8. This high-performance mesh offers a 91% larger flow area and a 140% larger mesh volume than the original intercooler.
The die-cast aluminum end boxes were designed using CAD and optimized using CFD simulations (for ideal internal airflow). An integrated air deflector inside the radiator inlet ensures even filling of the intercooler. The result is excellent cooling properties with the lowest possible backpressure. Furthermore, the newly developed high-performance racing mesh provides adjacent components, such as the water cooler, with sufficient airflow through the use of a specially designed air deflector, and is also very lightweight. This makes this kit perfect for racing. Optimal cooling of the charged air with a significant increase in performance!
An anti-corrosion coating with excellent thermal conductivity protects the WAGNERTUNING intercooler from all environmental influences, ensuring a permanent and optimal cooling effect. Installation takes place at the original mounting points and is easy (plug and play). All our products are subject to constant quality monitoring.
