What does it do?
One of our most popular products is the VWR Cold-Air Intake System, which allows cold, dense air from outside the engine compartment to reach the fuel metering unit more efficiently for A5-platform cars (such as the Golf 6 GTI, Scirocco, and A3) using the 2.0 TSI EA888.1 engine.
Our giant, high-flow filter construction is simply the best filtration material on the market and is the key to the power gains achieved.
Each filter is handmade in the UK.
Developed for use in our Volkswagen race cars, the system delivers truly impressive airflow gains, up to 9% more at peak power than the original intake system.
By reducing the turbo spool by up to 500 rpm in some cases, the system’s improved efficiency ensures lightning-fast turbo response. In our experience, no other intake kit offers greater gains.

SOUND QUALITY
You’ll hear the rich induction noise of this racing intake as soon as you accelerate hard. However, as a fully enclosed intake, volume levels are well contained.
