The Eventuri E39 M5 intake system is comprised of a series of components designed for a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards.
Each intake system consists of:
2 carbon fiber venturi housings
2 high-flow Generation 2 air filters
2 aluminum pods for smooth airflow
2 fog light surrounds with integrated air ducts
2 flexible neoprene air ducting sections
2 laser-cut aluminum shields
Custom laser-cut brackets
High-quality silicone couplers with BMW-specific hose clamps
Carbon intake housing assemblies
The filter housings include the high-flow filters, aluminum pods, and the carbon pods themselves. The carbon pods wrap around the reverse-mounted filter and smoothly shape the airflow to the MAF pipes. This gradual reduction in cross-sectional area mimics the Venturi effect, in which airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar conditions. The custom-designed filters aid the airflow as it moves through the housings and allow for a uniform velocity profile as the airflow exits the housings.
The cold air inlet area has been maximized for the given shape and dimensions of the liner and the duct transitions to the supplied neoprene hoses. While the car is moving, ambient air is forced into these ducts, which are connected to the neoprene hoses to transfer the airflow directly to the air intakes. This ensures that the intakes are not soaked with heat and that the engine is able to draw in air at ambient temperature.
