The Eventuri 4.0TFSI V8 intake system is made up of a series of components designed for a specific purpose and manufactured to the highest standards. We use 100% pre-preg carbon fiber, with no fiberglass, which allows us to achieve a smooth internal surface for smoother airflow. Here are the details of each component and the design philosophy behind them.
Each intake system consists of:
Enlarged carbon fiber airbox cover
Carbon fiber flow manifold
2 custom EPDM intake pipes
2 custom high-flow dry cone filters
CNC-machined reinforcement rings
ENLARGED AIRBOX COVER
The first constraint we had to overcome to dramatically increase the overall intake volume was the airbox cover. The stock cover leaves a shallow opening for the flow manifold and also limits the filter media used. By creating a raised portion in the center of the cover, we can create more space for a larger flow manifold and even larger filters. The cover is made of pre-preg carbon fiber and uses the same mounting points as the stock cover.
CARBON FLOW MANIFOLD AND FILTERS
The flow manifold directs airflow from the filters to the turbo intakes. The stock one is small due to the stock cover, but by eliminating this restriction, we were able to significantly increase the volume of our version. This also gave us the freedom to replace the stock filter with higher-flow cone filters, which also have a larger total surface area.
TURBO INLETS
The biggest limitation of the stock system is the turbocharger intakes. The stock intakes maintain a small cross-section from the turbochargers to the airbox. We’ve redesigned the air intakes to increase their size immediately after the turbochargers. This creates a greater volume of air that the turbochargers can utilize with minimal resistance, resulting in improved throttle response. The new air intakes also allow the engine to move without creating turbulence.
