EVENTURI FULL BLACK CARBON INTAKE KIT AUDI RS3 8V
The Audi 8V RS3 Eventuri intake sets a new benchmark in intake design. It was developed to constrain the turbo inlet path and keep inlet temperatures low. The first objective was achieved by using 88 mm internal diameter pipes up to the turbo and using the unique Venturi housing to maintain laminar flow. The second objective was achieved by designing a sealed system for the standard cold air supply, thus ensuring that the turbo does not draw hot air from the engine bay. The intake duct draws air from the stock intake and has been maximized in volume to allow maximum flow through the filter.
Each intake system consists of:

Carbon fiber venturi filter housing
High-flow urethane cone filters
Carbon fiber inlet duct
Carbon fiber
Carbon fiber connecting tube
Laser-cut stainless steel brackets
Silicone couplers and reducer

The filter housing includes a high-flow filter, an aluminum end cap, laser-cut brackets, and the carbon pod itself. Carbon pods wrap around the reverse-mounted filter and gently shape the airflow to the intake pipes. This gradual reduction in cross-sectional area mimics the Venturi effect, where airflow accelerates while maintaining laminar conditions.

The duct was designed to have the maximum internal volume possible within the given geometry of the engine bay. This ensures that the filter housing can intake with minimal restriction.

The intake pipes are also made of 100% prepreg carbon fiber. Each pipe has an internal diameter of 88 mm – the stock pipe is only 77 mm. This enlarged diameter allows the turbo to operate with less restriction and allows even larger/hybrid turbos to perform even better. The pipes smoothly transport the airflow to the turbo, ensuring there are no sharp or sudden bends. The smooth curvature geometry ensures laminar flow from the filters to the outlets.

The combined system ensures that the airflow remains full and consistent with the turbo, minimizing the occurrence of turbulence. The following flow simulation shows how smooth and full the flow is inside the inlet pipes before the turbo. There is some circulation in the duct as expected, but once the flow enters the pipe, it is attenuated, allowing the turbo to operate more efficiently.
