Made from 100% premium prepreg carbon fiber. This encapsulates the filter and is mated to an anodized aluminum inlet cap to ensure a smooth inlet flow path. The filter itself is a deep-pleated, high-flow dual-cone configuration that is dry to prevent damage to the MAF sensor. Finally, the assembly is mated to an aluminum heat shield that effectively protects the intake from engine bay heat and captures ambient air diverted from the air intake.
Laser-cut from aluminum and then powder-coated, the Z4M air intake directs ambient air directly into the filter opening and effectively keeps IATs down. No drilling is required for installation. This scoop simply snaps into place using the factory hole locations and the supplied push-in rivets.
The MAF pipe is CNC-machined from aluminum and then anodized. The MAF boss itself is made from a technopolymer to minimize heat absorption in the sensor through conduction.
These components combine to improve the engine’s intake efficiency. The result: more power, throttle response, and sound.
