Filtration, airflow, and heat are key considerations when designing a new intake system for a turbocharged engine. Our do88 intake system was developed to provide the turbo with good filtration, an improved airflow path, and simultaneously maintain low inlet temperatures. Large, custom-designed cotton air filter with tightly woven cotton gauze. The filter is delivered without filter oil, so we recommend applying cotton filter oil to the air filter to increase air filtration if you drive your car in dusty conditions. For example, you can use BMC filter oil with part number “WAFLU250”.

Our intake system is designed to improve flow and reduce negative pressure while drawing only cold air. Many aftermarket intake systems draw hot air from the engine bay, resulting in very high IAT and therefore a loss of power and performance. Our system is a true cold air intake.
Always be aware that the EM intake system and air filter were designed for the power level for which the car was originally built. An increase in power could cause your stock intake system to underperform. If your intake system doesn’t have the performance you need, it will be too difficult for the turbocharger to get the air it needs, which will reduce engine efficiency and cause you to lose horsepower. So, even on an engine with a software tune, the do88 intake system will provide a performance boost over the OEM airbox!
