While the latest Supra/M340i/Z4 lacks a manual transmission, the quick-shifting ZF 8HP transmission paired with the B58 makes up for it impressively. However, like all sports cars, heat remains a significant challenge, especially in tuned cars that generate more heat during rigorous driving on the street, track, or drag strip.
Our Solution
The 2019+ BMW M340i/Z4 and GR Supra models are equipped with an external liquid-to-air transmission cooler. However, for tuned cars, the heat generated can often exceed the capacity of the OE radiator. Recognizing this, our engineers redesigned the transmission cooler core, increasing its volume by 184% and its cooling surface area by 176% while maintaining similar fluid pressures. We upgraded the tubing to feature internally channeled spring tubes, ensuring optimal cooling efficiency. Whether you’re spending a day at the track or enjoying a backroad cruise, the do88 transmission cooler helps keep temperatures in check.
