The main challenge in designing a high-performance intercooler for the RS6/RS7 is the limited space available behind the front bumper and wheel arches. This limits the size of the intercooler core, tanks, and ambient airflow. We made sure to utilize every millimeter of available space.
The intercooler cores, designed to Do88’s specifications and manufactured by Garrett Motorsport, leverage advanced aerospace technology. The cores are comprised of thin, densely packed cooling fins that provide highly efficient heat transfer, ensuring optimal performance.
Our uniquely designed, free-form cast end tanks evenly distribute airflow across the core. Extensive CFD analysis, 3D printing prototypes, and flow bench testing have resulted in a design optimized for maximum airflow. The hose connections are 70 mm (2 ¾”), a significant 37% increase over the original 60 mm (2 3/8″). Enlarging the hose connections eliminates critical airflow restrictions, essential for improving turbo efficiency and achieving higher horsepower. To our knowledge, Do88 is the only manufacturer to offer such large hose connections.
High-quality ambient air guides are included, crafted from vacuum-welded pre-preg carbon fiber (2×2 mm twill). These guides securely attach to the intercoolers with four screws, ensuring the 29% larger central surface area receives a constant flow of cool air.

The kit also includes flexible silicone hoses specifically designed to fit the larger fittings and connect seamlessly to the original boost pipes. Intercooler welding is performed in-house at the do88 facility in Sweden, ensuring the highest quality.
As original intercoolers often reach their performance limits, especially in tuned vehicles, an upgrade is essential. Whether your vehicle has standard boost levels or advanced tuning, our intercooler kit significantly improves performance over the original intercooler.
