The competition intercooler has the following net dimensions (640 mm x 410 mm x 65 mm) and therefore has 17 liters of external charge air volume (OEM 9 liters). The newly developed high-performance competition net (Tube Fine) ensures adjacent components, such as the water cooler, still have sufficient airflow and is also very lightweight. The intercooler weighs just 8.9 kg. The die-cast aluminum end boxes were created in CAD and optimized for the best possible internal airflow using CFD simulations. An air duct integrated into the end box allows for homogeneous filling of the high-performance competition net. The intercooler inlets and outlets have been enlarged to Ø 70 mm, so this kit comes with reinforced silicone hoses.
Overall, this intercooler has much lower backpressure than the standard intercooler. Furthermore, all our intercoolers feature an anti-corrosion coating with thermal conductivity properties. This ensures permanent, optimal cooling with a significant increase in performance.
The assembly is performed by replacing the OEM intercooler and is easy to perform. All our products are subject to constant quality monitoring.
