Here’s the perfect addition to our X5M and XM intake system to optimize the flow path to the turbochargers. Our carbon intakes have a larger volume than stock intakes, maintaining a larger diameter all the way to the turbochargers. Stock intakes narrow immediately after connecting to the intake, creating restriction, especially at higher boost levels. We’ve mitigated this restriction and designed the curvature to be as uniform as possible, allowing the turbochargers to operate with reduced drag. Made of pre-preg carbon fiber with CNC-machined flanges, the intakes also offer a visual enhancement to the engine bay.

The benefits of intakes are evident in tuned vehicles, where boost pressure is higher and therefore the flow demand from the turbochargers is greater. This is where the larger intake volume helps provide that extra flow.

Eventuri X5M air intakes are made from high-temperature prepreg carbon fiber and come assembled with a host of other purpose-built components manufactured to the highest quality standards.

Each set of intakes includes:

A pair of prepreg carbon inlets

CNC-machined turbo flanges

CNC-machined blow-off valve assembly

COMPARISON

The performance gains come from turbochargers having a less resistive flow path, allowing them to reach peak power earlier in the rpm range. Compared to stock inlets, the differences are clear. While stock pipes taper immediately after connecting to the air intakes, our pipes maintain a larger diameter, and the reduction compared to stock turbochargers is achieved with an internal radius on the machined flanges. This allows for greater volume while maintaining a smooth flow path. One of the disadvantages of the oversized inlets was the more aggressive downsizing to fit stock turbochargers, which created some flow constraints.
