This kit is offered at a flat rate and includes our intercoolers, our high-flow Y-pipe, as well as all necessary hoses, accessories, and mounting hardware.
Our intercooler kit and Y-pipe are excellent on their own, but when combined, they form a powerful unit that delivers lower inlet temperatures and increased flow, while reducing backpressure throughout the system, resulting in a significant increase in power!

About our intercoolers:
To optimally distribute flow throughout the core, we use flow-optimized cast tanks. A well-designed tank is essential for maximizing heat transfer and flow. Flow and cooling capacity directly depend on the core size, and to use the thickest possible core, we replaced the upper air guides with carbon fiber ones. These are designed by do88 using 3D scanning as a basis, ensuring an excellent fit with both the car’s body and our large intercoolers.
To maximize cooling, these air guides are equipped with seals against both the charge air cooler and the body, ensuring cooling air doesn’t take the easiest paths around the core. The intercooler connections are 70 mm (2 3/4″) to maximize flow and eliminate any bottlenecks in the system. This means this kit comes with new hoses in all four locations, all CFD-designed and tested for optimal flow. The hoses at the turbocharger outlet are made of material with particularly high heat resistance, with a constant temperature of 240°C.
About our Y-pipe:
Our do88 Y-pipe is the result of extensive design work with many hours on the CAD drawing board and several flow calculations and 3D prints. The do88 Y-pipe is the solution when you’re aiming for high performance and want to eliminate system restrictions. It provides significantly improved flow along with reduced weight! The Y-pipe is made of lightweight, mandrel-bent aluminum tubing welded to a 3D-designed, free-form cast manifold to maximize flow.
The Y-pipe is finished with an elegant powder coating that gives it a looks worthy of its performance.
Performance:
Regarding performance, the do88 intercoolers effectively lower intake air temperatures! The diagram shows the difference compared to the original (OEM) 996 intercoolers.
The data was collected with an AIM race recorder during three consecutive runs. Full-throttle accelerations between 50 and 250 km/h were performed in a Porsche 996 prepared for Stage 1.
No cooling between runs, only full throttle. The test was conducted as follows: first, three laps were run with the car equipped with the OEM intercooler.
Then the parts were quickly replaced with do88 intercoolers. Then three more runs were performed in exactly the same way as the OEM parts.
The drop in intake air temperature is significant, with a peak difference of 41°C, see the diagram!
Cooling is crucial, as is airflow. After many hours of development, refining the end tanks, and selecting the cooling packages Cells to meet our needs, we’ve produced an intercooler that’s significantly more efficient when it comes to heat transfer and airflow.
With our in-house Superflow SF-1020 Probench, airflow is confirmed as a complete system, with flexible inlet and outlet tubing, for both OEM 996 intercoolers and high-performance do88 intercoolers.
