do88 high-performance air intake system designed for easy installation in your BMW M2C/M3/M4 F8X
The S55 turbo engine that powers the BMW M2C/M3/M4 F8X has two air filter boxes that feed fresh air to the turbos. The OE air filter boxes have rather small panel filters and therefore somewhat restrictive for airflow.
This intake kit is constructed from 76mm (3″) mandrel-bent seamless aluminum tubing. Both the intake tubes and heat shields are finished with a durable matte black powder coat. The airbox covers are constructed from a lightweight polycarbonate material with a beautiful satin black finish.
All these improvements have resulted in an impressive peak power gain of +10 hp, and at mid-range we see up to +20 hp / +40 Nm. This test was performed on an M3 with a BootMod3 Stage 1 tune (93).
