The best high-performance intercooler kit
VAG 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen4 245hp / 300hp on the market
This BigPack kit includes both the do88 high-performance intercooler and the oversized hose kit.
This kit is for those with high-power goals and want to upgrade to the absolute best! Simply upgrading to our high-performance intercooler is a major improvement, and combined with our boost hose kit, the improvement is enormous! Our boost hoses have significantly improved airflow compared to stock pipes, proven by extensive testing both on-board and on our SuperFlow SF-1020 flow bench.
Benefits of the do88 BigPack (OE intercooler/hoses):
– Increased core volume: 15811 cm3 (9056 cm3), 75% larger!
– Larger active cooling area, 2774 cm2 versus 2587 cm2, 7% larger!
– Air flow at 0.15 bar/2.18 psi pressure drop: 332 CFM (244 CFM), DO88 36% more!
– Peak power gain of +12 hp and peak torque gain of +14 Nm! Measured on a 2021 VW Golf GTI Clubsport Edition 45 with stock software.
– Post-intercooler air temperature under the same conditions: 23Β°C (73Β°F) versus 35Β°C (95Β°F), DO88 12Β°C lower!
– The hose has a connection for methanol injection (1/8 -27 NPT). The hose comes with a blanking plug for this purpose.
The BigPack includes a high-performance all-aluminum intercooler and a complete 2.5″ hose kit with silicone tubing. This BigPack replaces everything between the turbo outlet and the throttle body, resulting in a dramatic improvement in airflow and cooling performance.
The do88 high-performance intercooler is an all-aluminum construction. Featuring flow-optimized, CAD-designed cast-end tanks and an optimized core design, it achieves the best possible cooling efficiency combined with the lowest possible pressure drop!
The hoses are made of seamless, mandrel-bent 2.5″ aluminum. High-quality silicone tubing is custom-made with 4 layers of polyester/aramid reinforcement. These hoses can withstand very high temperatures and pressures!
Always remember that the OE intercooler was designed for the power level for which the car was originally built. An increase in power or even very heavy use of the car in the standard version can cause the OE intercooler to not perform as well as it should. Therefore, only after an engine software tune will the do88 BigPack offer a performance increase over the OE intercooler!
A common misconception is that an intercooler installed in this position cannot deliver good performance and that a front-mounted intercooler/FMIC would be much better. However, the do88 BigPack is far superior to most FMIC installations, where only a small front-facing core can be installed, partially behind the bumper beam. This further reduces cooling capacity and often results in worse cooling performance than the OE intercooler.
The do88 BigPack comes with all the necessary installation hardware.
