This exhaust is manufactured using high-quality, race-proven titanium throughout the entire system and features megaphone-shaped tailpipes.
A centered header between the rear mufflers was cast in-house; this header optimizes and balances gas flow to produce an acoustically tuned sound without hum. Three mufflers, two at the rear of the header and one in the mid-pipe, further fine-tune the sound experience to create a sporty racing tone, fully enhancing the engine’s characteristics with a deep, enthusiastic sound, giving occupants a feeling of exhilaration that’s never interrupted by excessive noise.
Engineers placed special emphasis on acoustics in the mid- and high-rpm range, with a high-frequency tone at higher rpm and more sound at idle and under acceleration. This sound is managed by two megaphone-shaped titanium tailpipes that are welded to the exhaust and specially coated to resist any discoloration at high temperatures. The shape of the tailpipes influences the sound. Developed to reduce backpressure, the system weighs 6.8 kg, or 48.3% less than the standard exhaust, and produces power gains of 3.5 kW (4.8 hp) at 6,950 rpm and torque increases of 4.9 Nm at 6,950 rpm (tested on the Akrapovic dynamometer), compared to a Toyota GR Yaris with a standard exhaust. This exhaust is intended for use on race tracks and closed circuits only. The product is plug-and-play, and no ECU remapping is required for this setup.
An optional Evolution link pipe is available for customers who want to extend the exhaust tuning options for even better performance with the Akrapovic Slip-On Race Line (Titanium) system.
