Competition kit for VAG 2.0TSI Gen3 fwd models (without all-wheel drive): Intercooler upgrade + downpipe kit.
Intercooler dimensions: 640 mm x 410 mm x 65 mm. It features 17 liters of external charge air volume (9 liters OEM). The newly developed high-performance competition mesh (tubular fin) provides sufficient airflow to adjacent components, such as the water cooler, and is also very lightweight. The intercooler has a total weight of just 8.4 kg. The die-cast aluminum end boxes were created in CAD and optimized for the best possible internal airflow using CFD simulations. An air duct integrated into the end box allows for homogeneous filling of the high-performance competition mesh. The intercooler inlets and outlets have been enlarged to 70 mm in diameter, so this kit comes with reinforced silicone hoses. Overall, this intercooler has much lower backpressure than the standard intercooler. It also features an anti-corrosion coating with thermal conductivity properties. This ensures continuous, optimal cooling with a significant increase in performance. Installation is done by replacing the OEM intercooler and is easy to perform.
